Lynchburg, VA
The FLS Adoption Training Weekend is mandatory for onboarding all approved applicants to the FLS Domestic Infant Adoption Program. Couples must submit a pre-application and a full application for approval prior to receiving an invitation to this in-person training session. This two-day workshop includes presentations from staff and various speakers on adoption topics such as medical considerations in adoption, transracial adoption, openness and building healthy adoption relationships, creating the adoption profile, etc. In addition, attendees will hear panel discussions with adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents. The cost is $500/couple. Space is limited and, when this training is full, approved applicants will be given a spot for the next scheduled training.
