You are VALUED! In our home, we pray for our son's biological family by name every night with him, and he has been raised to be proud of his story. We want you to know that in our home, you will be loved, known, and considered as an extension of our family!

JOY, LOVE and LAUGHTER will abound here! We are sure you have wondered what 'home; would look like for your child. We can guarantee you that in this home, love, joy, and laughter will abound. We are silly, always down to have a good time, make good memories, and make our children feel loved!

About Us:

Jimmy is hard-working, goofy, always up for a good time, and EXTRA! He turns everything up to make good memories and a fun time! He is passionate about his job and loves creating new ways to make church fun for the kids on Sunday mornings! He loves me (Kristen) and Luca (our son) with a love that is beyond description! He has true joy in his eyes when he speaks of his family! Beyond being fun and a family guy, he is also a sports guy! He loves all Atlanta sports, with his favorites being the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs! On a free day, he loves to go golfing with his friends!

Kristen loves BIG! She will move mountains for her people! She loves being a mother more than anything in this world to Luca! Luca is the reason she went back to further her career so that she could better care for him since he had a few health issues in his first year. She loves being a wife, daughter, sister, and aunt and takes great pride in her family! She loves children and made a career out of caring for them! In her free time, she likes to catch up on Hallmark Christmas movies (it doesn’t matter the time of year) and snuggle up to read a good book!

10 Quick Facts

1. Jimmy and Kristen met on the school bus in the 6th grade! Our story began early and has grown ever since! 

2. Our home is one of our favorite places- we have lots of land, a pool, and wonderful neighbors! 

3. Our son, Luca, is surrounded by so much love, including “extra grandmas” (as he calls them) who adore and spoil him. 

4. We have a beautiful open adoption with Luca’s birth family that we cherish! 

5. We are open to choosing a name together with you, just as we did with Luca’s birth family!

6. We’ve surrounded ourselves with a wonderful community of friends who have also adopted. It’s important to us that Luca and our future adopted children grow up with friends who share a similar story and can relate to that part of their lives. One of Luca’s babysitters was even adopted!

7. Holidays are a big deal in our home, especially Christmas! Every year Jimmy adds more Christmas lights to the house, and our display gets bigger and brighter. We love celebrating all holidays and have many special traditions that make those times so meaningful for our family.

8. Most evenings in our home are spent around the dinner table talking about our days. After dinner, we usually head outside to play baseball, golf, swim, or just enjoy being together until it’s time for bed. 

9. We keep a journal where we write down some of our favorite things Luca has said so we never forget them. We plan to do the same for the next child and love sharing some of those sweet moments with Luca’s birth family.

10. We go to many Atlanta Braves games throughout the season and also enjoy fun outings like Monster Jam and Atlanta United games. Our son Luca loves it and we are excited to share those traditions with another child too.
