Jordan & Helene

Adoptive parents, Jordan and Helene, with their two adopted daughters in a fall setting

Hello friend,

We’re Jordan and Helene, and we want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to get to know us. From the beginning, please know you are loved and prayed for as you walk this path. We understand this journey isn’t easy, and we hope you feel supported and surrounded by God's peace as you consider your options.

You are unique and deeply valued, and we believe God is working a beautiful plan in your life. Even in life’s hardest moments, we’ve seen His strength, healing, and hope as He turns our challenges into something meaningful and good (1 Peter 5:10). If it’s His will, we would be honored to share in that journey with you.

A little about us: we love children and are grateful to be surrounded by them! We have two amazing girls and 18 nieces and nephews, so life is full, joyful, and often a little loud. Helene has the opportunity to stay home with our girls and she also volunteers in different roles with kids, and Jordan is often voted the fun parent and uncle. Caring for and learning from children is a big part of our everyday lives.

Our faith in Jesus is at the center of our family. We strive to build our lives on His love, drawing strength and guidance from Him each day. Our hope is to grow in that love and share it with those around us, especially within our family.

We’re grateful our paths have crossed, even briefly, and we hope this gives you a small glimpse into who we are.

About Us:

Throughout our marriage, we’ve had many opportunities to grow together through both challenges and blessings, and we’re grateful for each one. Adoption has been part of our lives long before we met, and it naturally became part of our vision for a family after we started dating and got married.

In 2018, we first opened our home when Helene’s sister, Amber, experienced a severe stroke, caring for her newborn daughter and 2 young sons for several months and continuing to support them through her long recovery. In 2019, we became foster parents and cared for multiple incredible children over three years. We later became permanent guardians to one of our foster children, Miracle Jane, whom we’ve raised since she was just three weeks old. We also treasure our ongoing relationship with some of her birth family.

In August 2023, we welcomed Royal Juniper Rose (“Juni”) through adoption. She is full of joy, energy, and laughter, and life with Miracle and Juni is such a gift.

In 2024, we both felt God leading us to open our home again through adoption. We trust His timing and see how He has been preparing our hearts all along. It’s an honor to be part of this journey.

About Jordan, by Helene:

He’s hilarious, smart, driven—and LOUD! Jordan can strike up a conversation anytime and is consistently kind, thoughtful, and generous. He’s patient, wise, and loves learning - especially about education and medicine. He’s not a fan of heights but oddly prefers flying to driving! He loves traveling (especially to Disney, which we visit often). After busy workdays, he gets home and immediately gets on the floor to play and connect with our girls. He then helps with bedtime as we sing, read and pray with the girls together. He starts each morning with me in our devotions and prayer. He’s an incredible dad, husband, uncle, and friend, and we love him so much!

About Helene, by Jordan:

Helene is the heart of our family. She’s hardworking, caring, and deeply intuitive - often knowing what we need before we do. She’s an amazing mom and wife, and someone everyone instantly feels at home with. Her warmth and hospitality draw people in, and she’s just as loved in her volunteering and friend circles as she is at home. She’s strong, selfless, and always puts others first - truly one of a kind. When she's doing what she loves, she's usually found outdoors, walking, hiking or running. I’m so grateful for who she is and the love she brings to our family and everyone around her.

10 Quick Facts:

1. We dance in our kitchen almost daily after breakfast and dinner.

2. We travel to Helene's Nana's (90+ yr old) house in NY for every Thanksgiving to spend time with extended family (about 50 people for Thanksgiving dinner!). It is Helene's favorite holiday and the warmth and love from her family makes it so special!

3. We love to travel! Jordan prefers beaches, Helene prefers the mountains, so we rotate vacation destinations on a regular basis.

4. Going for walks as a family through our neighborhood is one of our favorite pastimes.

5. We value hosting new and old friends and family around our dinner table on a weekly basis and find some of our deepest relationships have been established around the dinner table.

6. We love spending time with some of Miracle's birth family and prioritizing these visits on a regular basis.

7. We are willing and happy to discuss potential names for the child we adopt.

8. We both love to do hair and have become very practiced in ethnic hair care and styles!

9. Jordan enjoys going to the movies, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and swimming, while Helene enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, running, cooking, and sitting on the back porch with her coffee.

10. We desire open and honest communication with you! We would love for you to be a part of our lives (and us being a part of yours) and are happy to include you in the big and little moments of life.
