We are Zachary and Amber! We want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family. We have deep respect for you as you consider all your options for yourself and your child. We can only imagine how much love and care you are putting into this decision. Please know that you and your child are in our prayers as you navigate this. Whatever you choose, we’re praying for peace, strength, and love for both of you.
We hope to give you a glimpse into our family and our life—what we value, what brings us joy, and the kind of parents we hope to be. More than anything, we hope to show just how much love we have to give. We believe open adoption has the potential to be a beautiful process for everyone involved. If that’s something you’re open to, we would be honored to walk this path together.

About Us:
We met in high school in 2007 and started dating right away. We have now spent over half of our lives together! We truly believe God put us on this earth to find one another and build a life together. Our faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior is the foundation of our marriage. It is what grounds us, guides us, and gives us strength through life’s ups and downs. Even as teenagers, we talked about our future and our dream of having a big family. Adoption has touched both sides of our family, so we always knew we wanted it to be part of our story. After going through trials with infertility and a miscarriage, we took time to heal our hearts and renew our focus on our family goals. Through many talks and lots of prayer, we felt God was leading us back to our original plans of adoption.
About Zachary, by Amber:
Zachary is my best friend. He has the biggest heart and is always working hard for our family. He’s the first to lend a hand to anyone who needs help. He’s a goofball and his laugh is absolutely contagious. He has a special way of connecting with people and remembering the little things that matter to them, so they feel seen and valued. He makes me feel safe, loved, and cherished—especially in the little moments like dancing in the kitchen or laughing over an inside joke. I can’t wait to see him as a dad, sharing his passion for cooking, teaching little ones how to garden, and just having fun!
About Amber, by Zachary:
Amber is my rock and my biggest supporter. She’s loving, charismatic, and an amazing listener. In this crazy life, she’s the grounding rod that keeps me centered and steady. Her support means the world to me. She’s my favorite adventure partner. Whether we’re running errands around town or traveling to a new place, she makes everything more fun. Amber is a huge animal lover and has such a caring nature. You can often find her chilling in the chicken coop with at least one of our hens on her lap. Her unconditional love and support, not just for me but for everyone in our lives, is one of the many reasons I know she’ll be an amazing mom! I'm so excited to see her doing crafts, having dance parties, and experiencing all the joyful moments of being a mom!
10 Fun Facts:
1. Amber works from home and plans to be a stay-at-home mom to all of our children.
2. We have 3 Godkids. They visit with us weekly and are so excited for our family to grow—they can’t wait to share in adventures together.
3. A lot of couples have special names for their significant others. For us, we call each other “Handsome” and “Beautiful.” When our Godkids were younger, they actually thought our “adult names” were Handsome and Beautiful.
4. We find a magnet and a Christmas ornament everywhere we travel to add a little piece of each adventure to our home.
5. We end each day by asking, "What was your favorite part of the day?"
6. We have been snorkeling in Iceland and kayaking around the glaciers there.
7. Zachary can fix or build just about anything—we even built our dining room table together.
8. We have a camper and love to pack up and go camping as often as we can. No camping trip is complete until we’ve made s’mores or roasted apples over the campfire while watching the sunset!
9. We love to cook together! Amber is known for her smoked mac n cheese and her banana pudding. Zachary is known for his pulled pork and his homemade strawberry jelly.
10. One of our favorite traditions is getting Christmas pajamas and bandanas for us and our 3 pups to all match!
